She’s Just Invented The Kitchen Accessory Of The Future… And It’s A 3D Printer.

Perhaps you've decided that you're going to stop eating processed food. Probably a wise choice, considering that most processed food contains chemicals and additives. However, even if processed food off your list, what about printed food?
Food designer Chloé Rutzerveld has imagined a concept for "healthy and sustainable" 3D snacks. The snacks will sprout plants and mushrooms for added flavor, and Rutzerveld claims that the snacks will be delicious (despite looking like a science experiment gone wrong).Check out the insane video and photos below.

Does this look like something you'd eat? What if it was sustainable and tasty? Here is Rutzerveld explaining a little bit more about the concept on the website:
"By 3D printing food you can make the production chain very short, the transport will be less, there is less land needed. But also you can experiment with new structures. You can surprise the consumer with new food and things that haven't been done before."
The idea is definitely compelling - but here's hoping that it means the printer can eventually produce something that looks a little more appetizing than these mushroom snacks. We're just saying - Pancakes would be cool.
