Milwaukee Brewers Ban High-Fives

Milwaukee Brewers fans might notice some restrained celebrations in the coming days.

It isn't because the players don't like each other and it isn't because of cooties. The truth is, a pinkeye epidemic is sweeping through the Brew Crew's clubhouse, and it seems that no one is safe. Catcher Jonathan Lucroy and coach Rick Kranitz are currently under quarantine after coming down with pinkeye this week.
It all seems kind of...gross. After all, big league teams have multi-million dollar clubhouses, with extensive medical staffs. How do these things happen? It isn't as uncommon as you might think. Turns out sports clubhouses are breeding grounds for all kinds of gross ailments. Who could forget the nasty staph infection that plagued the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just last summer? The hockey world isn't safe either: a mumps epidemic swept through the NHL earlier this season, temporarily increasing the size of Sidney Crosby's face.
Lookin' good, Sid

The Brewers play the Seattle Mariners in Cactus League spring training action today. With high-fives, fist bumps and most forms of physical contact banned, celebrations might get a bit awkward.
